The NGO Delegation to the UNAIDS PCB & GNP+, co-convenors of the Global Partnership for Action to Eliminate all Forms of HIV-related Stigma and Discrimination, are calling for organizational civil society co-chairs for their six (6) thematic working groups
Background
The Global Partnership for Action to Eliminate All Forms of HIV related Stigma and Discrimination (Global Partnership) was launched in December 2018 to catalyze and accelerate the implementation of commitments made to end HIV-related stigma and discrimination by Member States, UN agencies, bilateral and international donors, NGOs and communities as part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
It aims to translate commitments into measurable policy change and programmatic interventions that result in the enjoyment of HIV-related rights by all and the implementation of commitments established in the 2016 Political Declaration. Six (6) initial thematic working groups were created, to be co-chaired by the selected civil society organizational representative and a UNAIDS co-sponsor.
Thematic Working groups
The Thematic Working groups will lead on and coordinate technical support and strategic guidance for countries to facilitate information sharing, collaborative work and resource mobilization. The co-convenors are looking for recognized national, regional or global civil society organizations that work on their chosen thematic setting to apply to act as co-chairs. Each of the working groups will be co-chaired by a chosen civil society organizational representative and a UN Cosponsor (listed above).

The team comprised of representatives from GNP+ and the NGO Delegation to the UNAIDS PCB will make the final decision. The team will decide on the application based on the terms of reference and criteria listed above.
