The NGO Delegation is extending the deadline of application for the recruitment of an NGO Delegate from the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region to Jan 11, 2016!
What is the NGO Delegation?
The NGO Delegation is composed of 10 civil society representatives, 2 per UN region. It is a member of the Programme Coordinating Board (PCB). The PCB guides the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) and is the key global forum for HIV and AIDS policy. The other members of the PCB are the 22 Member States and 11 Cosponsors.
The PCB is the first UN program to have formal civil society representation on its governing body. The NGO Delegation is integral to the effective inclusion of community voices, representing the perspectives of civil society, including people living with HIV, within UNAIDS policies and programming. This presents a unique opportunity for committed activists and advocates to make a difference in HIV and AIDS policy implementation globally and in their regions.
The NGO Delegation is now recruiting for one Latin America and the Caribbean Delegate. (apply)
Applications from people living with HIV, key populations, women and young people are particularly encouraged.
