Restless Development (RD), a youth-led development agency, is currently recruiting two youth delegates (18-24) from Europe and sub-Saharan Africa to join the Student Stop AIDS Campaign team in Washington DC for the AIDS 2012 conference. The delegates will be involved in engaging other young people in activism for AIDS 2012. The organisation especially welcomes applications from young people living with HIV. The two youth delegates will represent and embody the youth-led commitment of Restless Development and the passion of the Student Stop AIDS Campaign to take action and raise awareness.
You’ll travel to Washington DC for the Youth AIDS 2012 (16–21 July 2012) followed by AIDS 2012 (22–27 July 2012). You will be working with young people interested in HIV issues and keen to learn more about how they can help in the response. You and your fellow delegates will share with them good knowledge of the global epidemic, demonstrating the importance of get ting involved and help to answer their questions. You’ll also take part in workshops, plenaries, sessions, exhibitions and AIDS activism coordinated over the course of the conference.
