The results are now in for the virtual consultation on women and girls. Over over 700 respondents from more than 95 countries participated in the survey initiated by the ATHENA Network and the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS (GCWA).
The consultation aimed to engage the voices of women living with and affected by HIV and other key populations of women in the lead up to the High Level Meeting on AIDS on June 8-10 in New York.
Five priorities emerged from the results: 1) access to comprehensive, integrated, and inclusive services: 2) solidarity; 3) gender equality; 4) safety; and 5) education, including comprehensive sexuality education.
