The agenda item “Ensuring non-discrimination in responses to HIV” included the presentation of the NGO Report, the UNAIDS presentation of their report on non-discrimination and two panelists who responded to these presentations, one from civil society and the other a government representative. There were several decision points passed under this item which includes reaffirming commitment to the elimination of HIV-related stigma and discrimination and reducing gender inequality and the calling on Member States to remove punitive laws which block access to HIV services.
