UNAIDS will be launching an operational plan for women, girls, gender equality and HIV at a high-level event during the 54th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York. The event will bring together key leaders from governments from the North and South, civil society and United Nations Organisations.

The plan paves the way to place women and girls at the centre of the AIDS response and calls on the UN system to support country action, in close consultation with governments, and through partnerships with civil society and development partners.
