The UNAIDS PCB NGO Delegation would like your submissions for the upcoming board meeting’s thematic on non-discrimination. At each Programme Coordinating Board meeting there is one day dedicated to reviewing and discussing a thematic issue. In the past few years, thematics have covered combination prevention, HIV and the law, food and nutrition security and sexual and reproductive health.
For the non-discrimination thematic, we’ve been asked to provide country-level inputs. UNAIDS is requesting examples of concrete initiatives and programmes that have actually worked to effectively reduce, provide redress and/or overcome obstacles in regard to discrimination against people living with HIV, women, young people, men who have sex with men, sex workers, people who use drugs, prisoners and other key populations most affected by the HIV epidemic, with a focus on but not limited to the following sectors:
- Health care settings
- Justice (including law, law enforcement, access to justice)
- Social protection
- Community and community mobilization
If you have any examples to share, please complete this proposal form and submit it by Wednesday, 5 September to email@example.com. The deadline on the form states 31 August as the deadline but, due to the summer vacation schedule for many people, we have additional days available for submissions.
We will continue to update you as we develop the thematic; you can find updates on our website by using our thematic tag: http://www.unaidspcbngo.org/?tag=thematic-segment.
